The Directorate of the Primary School in Rajec, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic, the City of Rajec and the Music Center in Bratislava, invites you to the 12th… 2019 edition of the international interpretation competition Music Spring in Rajec. It will take place on May 13, 2021.
“The main aim of the competition is to support the interpretation and creation of new original Slovak musical works for children and youth.” It is intended for students of elementary art schools. Competes in five age categories, Category 5 is a chamber game with a maximum of 10 players. In categories 1. – 4. “Solo players on all musical instruments and singers compete,” reports the Rajec Art School.
The competition repertoire will be compositions by Slovak authors of the contestants’ own choice. You can also choose compositions by domestic composers from our database.
In addition to material prizes and diplomas, the winners of individual categories can also look forward to a new song composed especially for them. It will be premiered at a concert in Bratislava’s Mirbach Palace and at the Slovak Institute in Vienna. The performances of young artists will be judged by an international jury.
In the event of an adverse pandemic situation, the competition will take place online. The application deadline is April 30, 2021.
