In Lipany 21. A piano seminar for teachers of the Elementary School of Arts took place in Lipany on October 22, 2019. Under the leadership of Tomáš Boroš and Ivan Šiller, they spent two intensive days dedicated to creative piano teaching.
“They liked the most the new perspectives on interpreting compositions using modern techniques, the broadening of methodological horizons in piano teaching, information and observations on children’s playing with non-traditional techniques, as well as Ravel performed by guest lecturers.”
They appreciated the inspiration and stimuli for the future: “The seminar opened up horizons of recent and contemporary music to me, which I was skeptical about. I know it takes time.”
And they also offered suggestions for technical improvements to the seminar: “It would be interesting to film the hands and keyboard with a camera from above and project it onto the screen.”
